Someone stayed for me. This is how we do that for someone else.

I was 16.

I didn't have a plan.
I needed a bed.

That's when I walked through the doors of Youth Without Shelter.

What I found wasn't just a place to stay.

I found people who stayed.

Not just staff—but people who sat beside me in moments that could've gone another way. People who didn't walk away when things were hard. People who showed up—again and again.

For years, that place became the closest thing I had to home.

What I do now… how I show up… what I believe this work is…

It started there.

This isn't charity. This is a continuation.

Because the impact didn't end when I left those doors. And it shouldn't end for the youth walking through them today.
